The Audit Awards were created to spotlight those leading the charge in transforming audit into a more impactful, tech-enabled, and collaborative discipline. Whether they’re new to the profession or seasoned experts, our winners exemplify a forward-thinking approach to audit excellence.
Meet the 2025 Winners
Newcomer of the Year: Madeleine Boudreaux, Assurance Sr. at Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP
This award recognizes a rising star in the audit profession—someone who demonstrates a can-do mindset, learns quickly, and adapts to challenges with poise and determination. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a community that values growth, innovation, and teamwork,” says Boudreaux.
Hero of the Year: Silvina Andrea Sosa, Sr. Auditor at Lisicki Litvin & Asociados
A DataSnipper power user, this year’s Hero is a trusted team resource and innovation leader. They understand the platform inside and out and continuously find new ways to make audit smarter, faster, and more accurate. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).She has specialized in External Audit for over 12 years and currently serves as the Manager of the Business Intelligence division at the firm.
Audit MVP of the Year: Cassidy Hockin, Articling Accountant at MNP
This award honors an outstanding auditor who inspires their peers and delivers exceptional results. They lead by example, support team growth, and demonstrate what it means to deliver excellence in every engagement. Hockin has been with MNP for over six years and is based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. “Excited to continue to learn and grow my audit and accounting skills with DataSnipper at my side," says Hockin.
This year’s winners were selected by a distinguished panel of judges from across the industry, including representatives from KPMG, EY, Beever and Struthers, and Frontier Airlines. Nominees were evaluated based on innovation, leadership, and their impact on audit processes and teams.
“We created the Audit Awards to spotlight the unsung heroes of our industry—the ones leading change, simplifying complexity, and making audit better for everyone,” said Vidya Peters, CEO of DataSnipper.
