In case you’re new here, what is Financial Statement Suite (FSS)? FSS is a separate paid Add-on Module. FSS automatically analyzes your financial statements and helps to perform and document all financial statement procedures extremely fast. You can rely on your professional judgment while FSS improves the standardization and overall quality of your procedures.
What's new in Financial Statement Suite v6.1?
Improve the accuracy of financial statement figures with Mathematical Accuracy Suggestions Editor
Ensure accuracy in your financial statements with our new Mathematical Accuracy (MA) Suggestions Editor. FSS checks the mathematical accuracy of your financial statements by suggesting valid totals and errors. You can now edit the suggestions yourself or create new ones—further increasing accuracy!
For example, if FSS fails to capture all the total amounts in your financial statement, you can easily step in. Simply create your own MA suggestions and select the numbers you want to verify for mathematical accuracy.
If FSS misidentifies parts of a sum, you can intervene. By editing the system suggestion, you can specify the correct components of a sum, verifying its mathematical accuracy.
What's more, your tickmarks are transferred to subsequent versions. All the progress you made in your financial statement procedures is carried over to the next version, eliminating duplicate work.
Store Your FSS Projects Anywhere—Locally or in the Cloud
With FSS v6.1, we’re introducing File Storage Configuration. Easily configure the location of your projects when importing them into Financial Statement Suite. You can now choose where to store your FSS files—be it your desktop or any shared folder within your firm (e.g., SharePoint). Improve your document management by making document retrieval quick and easy.
Configuring the location of your FSS projects is optional and can be enabled upon request. Reach out to your DataSnipper representative to enable it!
Boost collaboration by saving projects in a shared drive
To collaborate on projects with team members, save them on your shared drive. Your team can view all the changes you made. Once you’re done, they can pick up right where you left off. Ensure effortless handoffs in the cloud!
Open password-protected PDFs directly in FSS
Our latest version 6.1 introduces the ability to work with password-protected PDFs directly within FSS. When importing a password-protected PDF, FSS will prompt you for the password. Once entered, you'll have immediate access to the file—no need for external tools. Eliminate the hassle of external tools, and work uninterrupted directly within FSS.
Note: If you need to reintroduce a password to your PDF once your work is complete, you can do so by using 3rd party tools (e.g. Adobe).
Internal Consistency checks for Japanese reports are here!
FSS’s Internal Consistency (IC) feature allows you to easily review the consistency of all the amounts in your financial statements. You can automatically cross-reference amounts to their occurrences within the same document—no more scrolling back and forth! With v6.1, we've expanded our language recognition and algorithm capabilities to ensure that financial numbers in your annual reports are consistent throughout. Now, this capability is available in Japanese too!
