What's new in the DataSnipper Platform?

Centralize your data extraction needs with Form Extraction

In v6.1, Form Extraction has been improved to now support a broader range of data extraction needs. When working with similarly structured documents, you can extract tabular data alongside other relevant fields in one go, making it easier than ever to capture complex information within the Form Extraction pane at scale.

You can also reorder extracted data fields directly within the Form Extraction panel. This capability provides greater control over the final output, reducing the need for post-extraction adjustments. Centralize and structure all your data in one place!

Leverage flexibility in outputs with Partial Matching

For users seeking higher degree of flexibility in outputs, DataSnipper v6.1 now introduces Partial Matching as an option in the Advanced Settings of Document Matching. With Partial Matching, you can now capture partially-present matches when necessary, ideal for documents with slight text variations.

For example: Searching for “Jenny Lam” in a source document - this name may not be present, but “Jenny” is; This can then be matched, and professional judgment used to assess.

We’ve also improved the Document Matching algorithm to make it more precise than ever!

Say hello to speedy interactions with improved Document Import

DataSnipper’s Document Import has been fine-tuned to deliver a faster, more responsive experience. Now, users can start interacting with imported documents in the Document Viewer almost immediately, without waiting for all documents to finish indexing.

In cases where a document is still indexing, DataSnipper will notify users with a quick pop-up, letting them know it’s on the way.

Another subtle but impactful improvement is how the Document Viewer behaves upon opening an Excel workbook. Previously, the Document Viewer would open automatically within your workbook; with v6.1, DataSnipper can start when you click on the DataSnipper ribbon or choose any cell containing a Snip. This change is designed to make DataSnipper less intrusive, giving you full flexibility to work in Excel without interruptions while keeping DataSnipper accessible with a single click.

This option can be toggled on and off in the DataSnipper settings of your Excel workbook.

Boost adoption with User Management

Introducing the new way of User Management in DataSnipper! Designed to give organizations greater control and visibility, User Management enables efficient management of employee access and activity. You can easily add and remove, and users via the DataSnipper Dashboard, maintaining optimal access. Plus, with clear oversight of user activity, you can drive DataSnipper adoption throughout your firm.

For Enterprise clients, User Management takes convenience and efficiency to the next level. With Single Sign-On (SSO) you can experience a seamless, unified login through your organization’s existing identity provider. Reduce password fatigue and simplify access for users. Meanwhile, Directory Sync automates User Lifecycle Management by instantly reflecting changes in user identities, groups, or access rules.
